I did my undergrad in Computer Science from BITS Hyderabad followed by internships at Flipkart and PhonePe as a software engineer. I joined PhonePe in its very early days and grew as a backend engineer and then a product manager, eventually working there for nearly 6 years. I quit in 2022 to start trading in the Indian stock market with my own savings after a brief stint as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund (True Beacon). I plan on starting my own venture in the fund management space sometime in the future.
I come from a reasonably liberal family of 4 and have had a fair bit of independence in making most of my life decisions. My dad has been running his own business in Mumbai for the last 3 decades. My mom is a housewife, and I have an older brother who graduated from IIT Madras and lives in Thane.
I have am ardent interest in personal fitness. Am a former ICSE national level athlete. Represented Maharashtra in the 400m and high jump events while in school and was a forward for the BITS Hyderabad football team.
